well, i got braces in March and decided not to make a big deal out of it. but now im getting glasses and i'll be looking like and epic DORK for two years. but to make this easier Kerushii-chan will be getting braces again (she has glasses now) so i dont have to go through it alone. but this story leads me to my philosophy.

then i started thinking about peoples tendencies. mostly how people get all "Oh my gosh! What happened? Are you okay?" over the better looking people.
Take a guy in my old school for example. his name is Hunter. all the girls like him. then he got hit HARD in a football game. i witnessed it. i was on the the team. it wasnt too bad. but he ended up with a neckbrace for five days. EVERY girl at school was making a big deal out of it. then, if I (an otaku with braces and glasses)got hit like that, only a few people who KNOW me would even CARE. and fewer still would ask about it. now, dont get me wrong, i wouldnt want all that attention for five days, but people would be like "huh. looks like the dork got hurt." then go on with their lives. only about five people would care i had a neckbrace. It all goes to show that the good-looking people get fussed over more. (people were carrying his BOOKS for God's sake! its only a neckbrace!) I run Cross Country now, so the only thing that could happen is that i break my ankle in a meet(like that will ever happen). i'd walk-limp-into school on crutches and people wouldnt even turn their heads. then a cheerleader breaks HER ankle and everyone wants to help and blahty-blahty-blah. its just annoying, you know?
